Hello! Welcome to my website. I'm a Twin Cities based artist known as mari muses, and I work in a variety of mediums but I most enjoy linocut printing, digital painting, and textile arts. I'm a completely self-taught artist - experimentation is my teacher and curiosity is my classroom!I earned my B.S. in Mathematics at the University of Minnesota, but I have always maintained my passion for art. During my time at UMN, I was also an Arts & Culture event planner, where I was able to curate exhibitions in the various galleries of the university and host events designed to allow students to experience art. Balancing these two pieces of my identity, I believe there is a divine intersection between math, science, and art. I have always held the personal philosphy that if you boil down any subject to its most basic pieces and parts, you will find math. As a result, I like to view art as a puzzle you solve visually.Throughout my life, I have always personally felt my role in life is to put art into the world. In this way I tap into the very threads of the human experience - to learn, to grow, to feel. I hope you enjoy what you find!Keep in touch
